Be More Chill
Stage 284’s Youth Company will offer an 8-week workshop for teens and young adults this season.
About the Show:
Jeremy Heere is just an average teenager. That is, until he finds out about “The Squip,” a tiny supercomputer that promises to bring him everything he desires most: a date with Christine, an invite to the raddest party of the year and a chance to survive life in his suburban New Jersey high school. But is being the most popular guy in school worth the risk? Be More Chill is based on the novel by Ned Vizzini.

Percy Jackson
Stage 284 Youth Company Presents: Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief
As the half-blood son of a Greek god, Percy Jackson has newly-discovered powers he can’t control, a destiny he doesn’t want, and a mythology textbook’s worth of monsters on his trail. When Zeus’s master lightning bolt is stolen and Percy becomes the prime suspect, he has to find and return the bolt to prove his innocence and prevent a war between the gods. But to succeed on his quest, Percy will have to do more than catch the thief. He must travel to the Underworld and back; solve the riddle of the Oracle, which warns him of betrayal by a friend; and come to terms with the father who abandoned him. Adapted from the best-selling book The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan and featuring a thrilling original rock score, The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical is an action-packed mythical adventure “worthy of the gods” (Time Out New York).
Percy Jackson is a thoroughly endearing family-friendly musical.

Drag Bingo
Drag Bingo
Join Boston Drag Performers, Candace Persuasian and Destiny Boston for a night of drag and bingo extravaganza! The games will begin with some rounds of Bingo with a twist. In between rounds, guests can expect music, fun, and celebration! There will also be a cash bar. Drag Bingo is a synergy between bingo and Drag Queen culture. Drag Bingo is the name of the game as the fusty old bingo caller is replaced by a sparkling Drag Queen, who calls the numbers and cracks jokes at the same time. Audience participation is encouraged at these events, but if you’re thinking of heckling the caller be prepared for a truly savage comeback!
*This event is rated PG-13. Be advised that Drag Bingo isn’t for everyone. If you are allergic to glitter and feathers or cannot tolerate sass, you may wish to consider whether this is the event for you.
