Hamilton-Wenham community turns out in force for a night of music, food, performance, and fireworks
HAMILTON-WENHAM, MA – The Community House welcomed more than 1,600 neighbors to Patton Park on Saturday, June 20 for the 13th Annual Block Party, delivering one of the most well-attended and celebrated editions of the event in its history. Families spread picnic blankets across the park, children climbed on the tank, teenagers wandered in groups through the vendor rows, and the crowd skewed beautifully young, with kids matching adults nearly one to one across the grounds.

What began as a breezy evening gave way to a stunning summer sky, blue and wide with the kind of clouds that make a New England June evening feel like a gift. By the time the music was in full swing, the wind had settled and Patton Park was exactly what a community block party should be: alive, loud, and full.
The event featured more than 20 vendors and 11 food trucks serving everything from gourmet lemonade to classic street fare, pizza, hot dogs, empanadas and hamburgers, giving attendees ample reason to wander, graze, and linger. DJ Marty Miz kept the energy high from the opening hour, setting the tone for a night that never lost its momentum.
The evening’s centerpiece was Block Party Live, a community performance showcase that brought original talent to the main stage. Performers James Turner, Charles Bubar, Chris Payne, Rosie Safford, Branigan Lei, Samantha Leone, Kimberly Robinson and Matt Parr each took the stage to an enthusiastic crowd, delivering the kind of homegrown performances that have made Block Party Live a signature highlight of the evening since its debut last year.
The night closed the way it always should, with fireworks. The display lit up the Patton Park sky to the delight of the crowd, a fitting exclamation point on an evening that reminded everyone in attendance why this event has been a Hamilton-Wenham tradition for so many years.
“This is what The Community House is for and we are honored to produce this event for the community annually,” said Executive Director Melissa Elmer. “Evenings like this one remind us that when you give a community a place to gather, they show up, and they bring everyone they love with them.”
The Community House extends its deepest thanks to its main corporate sponsor Salem Five, the vendors, performers, volunteers, other sponsors and donors, and every neighbor who made the 13th Annual Block Party an evening to remember. The 14th Annual Block Party will return to Patton Park in summer 2027.
