A complete summer day camp experience for campers with daily enrichment activities, a special treat every Tuesday, three afternoons of swimming at Patton Park Pool, a weekly field trip, and a performance each week by Stage 284 workshop participants.

This hands‑on week invites campers into the Tinker Lab, where imagination meets engineering. Using LEGO robotics and a variety of building materials, campers will design, construct, and experiment as they bring their ideas to life. It’s a fun, curiosity driven week full of problem‑solving, teamwork, and inventive play, perfect for kids who love to build, explore, and tinker. Campers learn basic woodworking skills in a safe, hands-on environment. They start with measuring mastery, practicing accuracy with rulers and squares, then move on to simple construction by building a small wood structure. Finally, they add a personal touch by creating custom signs through sanding, painting, and decorating. This session develops precision, patience, creativity, and confidence with tools in a fun, supervised setting. Kids explore rhythm, sound, and creativity through hands-on music activities. They’ll build and play instruments in a recycled percussion orchestra, create their own beats using simple digital music tools, and discover the magic of movie sound effects as Foley artists. This fun, interactive session builds musical confidence, creativity, and listening skills while introducing both hands-on and digital music-making. During this exciting week, Video Explorers is a fun, hands on video camp where kids learn how TV shows are made. Campers explore a working video studio, learn how cameras, microphones, and lights work, and collaborate to create their own short videos. No experience needed, just curiosity and creativity. Campers explore strategy, teamwork, and sportsmanship through games kids love. They’ll warm up with classic board games to practice planning and decision-making, then work together in a team speed-run challenge using age-appropriate video games. The day ends with a friendly video game tournament that emphasizes cooperation, positive competition, and cheering for others. This session builds critical thinking, communication, and respectful gaming habits in a fun, supervised environment. A week of projects based on interests: jewelry, crocheting, woodwork, building, clay modeling. Kids explore hands-on art and design through a variety of creative crafts. They’ll make friendship bracelets and beaded jewelry, learn the basics of finger crocheting with yarn, and experiment with clay sculpture by building coil pots or small creations. This calming, creative session builds fine motor skills, patience, and self-expression while giving kids artwork they’re proud to take home. Campers explore creativity and technology through hands-on digital art projects. They’ll learn digital drawing basics by tracing and coloring images, experiment with stop-motion animation using clay or LEGOs to create short videos, and have fun with photo editing by adding effects and props to silly portraits. This playful, guided experience builds creativity, fine motor skills, and confidence with digital tools in a safe, age-appropriate setting. Kids are introduced to coding concepts in a fun, age-appropriate way—no experience needed! Campers start with unplugged coding by creating binary bead bracelets, learning how computers use 0s and 1s to share information. They then explore visual block coding, using beginner-friendly platforms to make characters move or tell simple stories. The day wraps up with game design thinking, where students design their own mazes and practice logic, sequencing, and “if/then” rules. This activity builds problem-solving, creativity, and confidence with technology in a supportive, hands-on environment. This energetic Sports week focuses on teamwork, communication, and creative play through fun, inclusive games. Campers sharpen memory and reasoning skills in the Alibi Game, work together silently during Birthday Line Up challenges, and burn energy with classic favorites like Blob Tag. They’ll also build trust and cooperation through group challenges such as the Human Knot, practice clear communication in a Blind Obstacle Course, and unleash creativity by designing and playing their own game in Invent-a-Sport. Activities are non-threatening, age-appropriate, and designed to help campers build confidence, social skills, and teamwork, all while staying active and having fun.
