Drag Bingo

Saturday, June 17th
7pm – 9pm at The Community House
Celebrate Pride Month with us on June 17th with Drag Bingo!

What is Drag Bingo?

Drag Bingo is a synergy between bingo and Drag Queen culture. Drag Bingo is the name of the game as the fusty old bingo caller is replaced by a sparkling Drag Queen, who calls the numbers, cracks jokes and entertains the audience.

Why Drag Bingo?

Drag Bingo is a fun way to celebrate Pride. Drag performers have long been at the forefront of the fight for LGBTQ+ rights and inclusion. The famous Stonewall Riot, often cited as the seminal event of the modern movement for LGBTQ+ rights in the United States, was led by drag performers who refused to quietly accept unfair and brutal treatment from the authorities. Drag has been a source of delight and playfulness in dark times, a means to unite the community for a cause, inspiring courage and self-acceptance.

What can I expect at TCH’s Drag Bingo event?

Fun, prizes, music and camaraderie!

There will be a cash bar and a food truck at the event. In between rounds of Bingo there will be a musical performance. This event will be indoor/outdoor (weather permitting) with food and drink outside and gaming indoors.  Bring a light coat and extra cash for food truck faire and beverages from the full bar.

If you’re wondering what to wear for this occasion, most importantly, be comfortable and be YOU!  Sequins, feathers and rainbow attire are encouraged. You can visit the ‘Glow Up’ station if you want to ramp up your fabulousness and have a photo taken with your group or with one of the performers.

Included with the suggested donation, participants will receive one bingo card and more advanced players can play multiple cards with an additional donation of $10.

Performances are appropriately sassy and geared to an adult audience.  Proceeds will benefit Stage 284 at The Community House.
