Registration for Summer 2023 is now OPEN!
Stage 284 is excited to announce summer programming! This year, we will offer several options to best suit your theater needs! Every program offers training in voice, dance, and acting and gives your performer a glimpse into the professional world of theater. Stage 284 offers high-quality instruction that is rigorous but and kind. At Stage 284, we pride ourselves on being a safe space to create, imagine, explore, and learn, focusing on product and process while instilling the tools it takes to succeed in any theater setting.

Summer Stars – 1 week programs
Program Description:
The Summer Stars program is designed to introduce young performers to the world of the stage through song, dance, and creative movement. Students will learn theater terminology, participate in performance and technical theater workshops, and bring these skills to the stage in a 30 minute sharing session at the conclusion of the week.
Details:
Ages: Entering grades 1-5 in Fall 2023
Time Frame: 1 Week
Before and after care included. Drop off begins at 8:30am and aftercare ends at 5:30pm
Program Day: 9-3:30pm
Early Registration Discount: $395 Register before April 1st
Price per week: $425
$120 non-refundable deposit per week per child due at registration for those who register before April 1st, balance of $275 due one week before the program starts.
$150 non-refundable deposit per week per child due at registration after April 1st, balance of $275 due one week before the program starts.

Participants bring their own snacks, lunch and water bottle each day.
Frequent breaks and pool visits throughout the day and week, so please bring swimsuits and towels each day.

June 26-30 & July 10-14: Descendants
Based on the popular Disney Channel Original Movies, Disney’s Descendants: The Musical is a brand-new musical jam-packed with comedy, adventure, Disney characters, and hit songs from the films!
Imprisoned on the Isle of the Lost – home of the most infamous villains who ever lived – the teenaged children of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella De Vil have never ventured off the island… until now. When the four troublemakers are sent to attend prep school alongside the children of beloved Disney heroes, they have a difficult choice to make: should they follow in their parents’ wicked footsteps or learn to be good?
July 24 – 28: Trolls
July 31-August 4: 101 Dalmatians
Based on the classic animated film, Disney’s 101 Dalmatians KIDS is a fur-raising adventure featuring Cruella De Vil, Disney’s most outrageous villain, and 101 of the most adorable heroes to set their paws onstage. With a high-spirited score and lovable characters, this stage adaptation is certain to charm and delight all audiences.
Pet owners, Roger and Anita, live happily in London with their Dalmatians, Pongo and Perdita, stalwart dogs devoted to raising their puppies. Everything is quiet until Anita’s former classmate, the monstrous Cruella De Vil, plots to steal the puppies for her new fur coat. The Dalmatians rally all the dogs of London for a daring rescue of the puppies from Cruella and her bumbling henchmen.
August 14-18: Annie Jr.
Based on the popular comic strip and adapted from the Tony Award-winning Best Musical, with a beloved book and score by Tony Award winners, Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin, Annie JR. features everyone’s favorite little redhead in her very first adventure.
With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone’s hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. Annie is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. Annie eventually foils Miss Hannigan’s evil machinations, finding a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.
August 21-25: Frozen Jr.
Frozen Jr. is based on the 2018 Broadway musical, and brings Elsa, Anna, and the magical land of Arendelle to life, onstage. The show features all of the memorable songs from the animated film, with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, plus five new songs written for the Broadway production.
A story of true love and acceptance between sisters, Frozen Jr. expands upon the emotional relationship and journey between Princesses Anna and Elsa. When faced with danger, the two discover their hidden potential and the powerful bond of sisterhood. With a cast of beloved characters and loaded with magic, adventure, and plenty of humor, Frozen Jr. is sure to thaw even the coldest heart!
Youth Company Workshop: Title TBD – 8 week program
Program Description:
Stage 284’s Youth Company will offer an 8-week workshop for teens and young adults this season. Stay tuned for the title and additional info.

Time Frame: 8 Week Program
Rehearsals:
Rehearsals will be held in the evenings and dates will be decided based on actor availability. In general we rehearse Sundays, Mondays, and 1-2 other days a week based on conflicts.
