Kids are introduced to coding concepts in a fun, age-appropriate way—no experience needed! Campers start with unplugged coding by creating binary bead bracelets, learning how computers use 0s and 1s to share information. They then explore visual block coding, using beginner-friendly platforms to make characters move or tell simple stories. The day wraps up with game design thinking, where students design their own mazes and practice logic, sequencing, and “if/then” rules. This activity builds problem-solving, creativity, and confidence with technology in a supportive, hands-on environment. Each day brings something special: Tuesdays are Special Snack Day, where we’ll make a camping-themed treat; two to three afternoons each week include cool-down time at the Patton Park Pool; Wednesdays feature our exciting field trip day; Thursdays bring a Sweet Treat Day; and Fridays wrap up the week with a Friday Fun Theme.
