Hometown Heroes Extended Program

Due to the overwhelmingly positive response to this project, The Community House (TCH) is extending recognitions of Hometown Heroes through November 2020. Selected heroes will be honored through our social media channels, local media outlets and TCH website.

This form of recognition celebrate’s the broad scope of positive responses to COVID-19, while raising critical funds to support the operations of The Community House. From making a meal for a neighbor, hand-crafting masks for those less fortunate, and medical professionals risking their lives to care for others, this award seeks to honor all local heroes making a difference, in big and small ways, during this unprecedented time.

To be eligible, nominees must either live in Hamilton or Wenham or be making an impact in the two towns through work, volunteerism, or acts of kindness. Heroes may be nominated individually or as groups.

Will you please consider making a donation in honor of the hero? All donations support The Community House’s ongoing efforts to unite our community during the pandemic through programs such as this heroes project, The Kids Community and Stage 284.

TCH has been honoring local heroes for community service since its founding 99 years ago. The COVID-19 pandemic inspired TCH’s Board and Staff to take a different approach and recognize all those whose acts of bravery and quiet acts of kindness have helped sustain our community during this difficult time. Our goal is to recognize as many heroes as possible.

Deadline for recommending a hero: Monday, November 23, 2020
