Melissa Elmer

Executive Director

Melissa began her nonprofit career in 1997 and spent a decade working in programs supporting and advocating for individuals and families affected by domestic violence. It was through this work that she developed a deep respect for the mission and impact of nonprofits along with the people who dedicate their careers in the sector.  “The influence and impact that clients, community members, coworkers, and mentors have had in my life has been extraordinary. The experiences and stories we have shared has helped shape my life both personally and professionally.  I am profoundly grateful to have discovered the importance of nonprofits early in my career which has allowed me to contribute to the betterment of society in such a meaningful way.”

Melissa joined TCH as Executive Director in 2006 and has enjoyed building the organization into a busy and vibrant community center bringing people of all ages together through the arts and enrichment.  She is very excited to celebrate TCH’s 100th anniversary in 2021 and planning for the next 100 years of service to the community.
