Middle School Night Program

The Middle School Night Program, sponsored by The Community House, purpose is to provide an outlet for middle school aged youth to enjoy safe and supervised social activities. Each event has a theme along with interactive dances and games featuring a local DJ.

One time program fee $50
Nightly admission $7.00

Registration paperwork and one-time program fee must be complete prior to attending any Middle School Night Program event.
Who may register?
– Students in grades 6 through 8
– Hamilton-Wenham public, private, and home school students
– Hamilton-Wenham School Choice students

REGISTER YOUR CHILD HERE or at The Community House. Monday – Thursday 9am -5pm, Fridays 9am – 3pm (PLEASE NOTE: The office is closed on Fridays in July and August.). Registration will not be complete until program fee is paid. Registration is open year round for this program. If you are in need of Financial Aid, please complete a Financial Assistance Form and return to The Community House. Once the review process is complete, The Community House will contact you.

Sewing for Tweens and Teens

Grades 5-7
Wednesdays, 2:45-3:30pm
Session I: September 27 – October 25
Session II: November 8 – December 13 (no class Nov 22)

Students will have the opportunity to learn the FUNdamentals of sewing, both by hand and with a basic sewing machine. Skills learned will include sewing straight and curved seams, adding decorative stitches and embellishments. Fabric and machines provided. Instructor Rhonda Galpern
Class fee: $99 for 5 weeks session plus a *$15 one time sewing kit fee.
*All students will get their own sewing kit to take home for future sessions to avoid the additional cost.

Adult, Infant and Child CPR

Saturday, November 18
9am-12pm

It is only a matter of a few short minutes before it is too late to save a life … learning what to do provides you precious minutes and gives someone a chance to survive. YOU CAN SAVE A LIFE! This HEARTSAVER course, including the hands-only approach to CPR w/ AED, will be taught by Regina Baker, RN. The instructor is certified by the American Heart Association. Appropriate for ages 11 and up
Class fee: $50 includes certification card valid for 2 years

Ski Bradford

Open to grades 4-8
Registration the 2018 season will open in mid-October.

A traditional Community House favorite. Your child can join in on six weeks of skiing every Wednesday during the peak winter months. Transportation will be by School Bus, leaving right after school, and returning for pickup around 6-6:30pm. NOTE CANCELLATION POLICY: When the Hamilton-Wenham Regional Schools are closed, the Ski Bradford program does not run. Information on cancellations will be recorded on The Community House’s voicemail 978-468-4818.
