Adult Sewing

This workshop is designed for newcomers to sewing to learn the FUNdamentals, both by hand and with a basic sewing machine. Skills will include sewing straight and curved seams, buttonholes, decorative stitches, embellishments and zippers. Participants will decide on their individual project and are encouraged to bring ideas and/or patterns to the first class. Two machines are available for students to share during every session. Participants are welcome to bring their own sewing machine to class. Experienced sewers may continue their current project or use class time to finish one previously set aside. Possibilities include but are not limited to basic garments, pillow covers, table runners, tote bags, basic window treatments. Saturdays, 9am-12pm

It is only a matter of a few short minutes before it is too late to save a life … learning what to do provides you precious minutes and gives someone a chance to survive. YOU CAN SAVE A LIFE! This HEARTSAVER course, including the hands-only approach to CPR w/ AED, will be taught by Regina Baker, RN. The instructor is certified by the American Heart Association. Appropriate for ages 11 and up
Class fee: $50 includes certification card valid for 2 years
