Community Service Awards

The Community House recognizes and honors individuals who have exhibited extraordinary dedication to volunteerism and/or community service. The Joanne Holbrook Patton Community Service Award and the Volunteer of the Year Award are presented at our annual Harvest Dinner in November. Nominations are accepted year-round.

Open Mic Night

Sunday, April 8, 4-6pm
The Community House is partnering with 15 Walnut, a Serenitee Restaurant, to bring you a local Open Mic program!

Local musician and performer, Brian Doser, will MC each session which will feature a local artist along with others performing quality music with great food and drinks available through the restaurant. This is a program where local talent of all ages can perform in a relaxed, fun and stress-free environment!
No minimum age – Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

The Community House provides adult learners with a variety classes instructed by own vetted instructors, as well as classes offered by private instructors. Please register for classes.

Golf Tournament

Friday, June 1
Our 27th Annual Community House Classic 9 Hole Golf Tournament benefits The Community House, a non-profit organization. Rain or Shine – All entry fees include: Green fees & cart, sign-in gifts, and a complimentary drink at cocktail reception. Golfers may register either individually or as a foursome. The proceeds are to benefit The Community House, a non-profit organization. The fee is non-refundable and a portion is tax deductible.

Community Block Party

9th Annual Community Block Party
Two Town Patriotic Celebration

The event commences with a Bike and Covered Wagon Parade to Patton Park. Music – Kids Activities – Food Trucks – Fireworks at dusk

Harvest Dinner

Saturday, November 3, 6:30pm
One Hundred Twenty-five Dollars per person and open bar. Tax deductible. The Community House cordially invites you to our 17th annual Harvest Dinner to enjoy an evening of dining with proceeds to benefit our annual capital needs and improvements to our historic building.

Community Carol Sing

Thursday, November 29, 6:30pm

A Christmas Carol Sing for all ages! Caroling and inaugural lighting of The Community House, lighting of the gazebo in Patton Park and lighting of the Christmas Tree at People’s United Bank on Railroad Avenue with cookies and cocoa! Children are encouraged to bring their own flashlight or glowsticks. A great way to kick off your Christmas celebrations.
